"You start with imagination. You see the creation in the distance, your mind searches, waiting for God’s hand. Paints and brushes are ready, dancing in surprises. Then comes enlightenment, vision and inspiration. And the purpose is revealed, waiting for prayers to be answered."

Aleksandr Vishnevetskiy was born in Kiev, Ukraine and has been residing in the United States for the past 30 years. A graduate of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture in 1972, Vishnevetskiy had taken advanced courses in architecture, design, drafting and drawing. He currently lives with his family in New Jersey.
Vishnevetskiy's art is characterized by a predominant tendency towards the abstraction of form and space and by the use of a prevalent energetic textural brush stroke. His palette is variegated from picture to picture. He uses brilliant rich colors in combination with each other and then juxtaposes them on a darker, but glowing, background of blues and greens. Gold is used as a rich, brilliant, warm color as it is slashed on top of and woven into the other colors in some of the paintings. The artist uses many different shades of gold in his paintings. The heavy impasto acrylic paint that is applied energetically is characteristic of Aleksandr Vishnevetskiy's style.
