Barbara Fitzpatrick

"Life is fascinating! Strong, colourful and detailed, my artwork is the result of a personal journey of imagination. I paint mainly in acrylic and also work with collage, mixed media and drawing. Through these means, I explore the nature of our contemporary situation.”

"From childhood, I have had a strong interest in the visual world and art. My entry into the world of art-making came during my adult life when I attempted writing and illustrating books. Art quickly became an enduring fascination and I began studying art at Gymea TAFE college and spent one year at the College of Fine Arts in Sydney. I have continued working in the arts ever since. I have exhibited widely in Australia and have artworks in collections in Australia, England, Scotland the USA."
