“I am inspired by nature with all its manifestations. Here I am in resonance, it largely determines my themes in painting. I move between representationalism and abstraction. It is important to me, not to depict, but to take up the seen as impulsive and let it develop freely.”

Barbara Münstermann is a German freelance artist living and working in Berlin. She completed her studies  (1992-1995) at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin. Barbara did further artistic training with Horst Reichle in printmaking and Volker Altrichter (artefact Bonn) in photography and painting, and with Andrea Rozorea, Rainer Kaiser, Manfred Hebenstreit and Alexander Jeanmaire in free and experimental painting. She did her Master studies in Drawing and Painting with Prof. Markus Lüpertz at the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolbermoor. She has been a member of Kunstverein “Kunst International” since 2019 and of “die Spinne” - a network of artists since 2020.
