"Self-portraits fill my folio not for narcissism's sake, but for the fact that I am the cheapest model I know. All my work (landscapes, portraits, figures) express narratives that emote socio-political concerns which I believe is the primary fuel for the work."
Born and raised in NYC, Bill E. Anderson majored in Animation at NYCHS of Art & Design. He worked as a Commercial Artist and took classes at School of Visual Arts. He acquired a BFA at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque majoring in Printmaking and an MFA at University of California, Santa Barbara. He taught Studio Art/Design and Filmmaking in high schools and colleges and after retiring he has been able to focus full time on his personal practice, producing and exhibiting work. Bill lives in Flagstaff, Arizona.
