Camilla Fransrud

"Art is about sharing your magical world and letting people be a part of it. Art brings people together, and I want to give them a breathe, a moment of poetic stillness."

Stardust - Acrylic on canvas 120 x 100 cm

Camilla Fransrud is a contemporary Norwegian abstract painter. Born in Oslo in 1974, she lives in the heart of Norway, in Trondheim, where she has lived here for 28 years. Camilla began painting in 2017, and is self-taught in this art form. She paints on canvas with acrylic, various textures, mixing her own colors, and using chalk, palette knives and mixed media.

Camilla's goal is for each painting to evoke a feeling in the viewer, to invite emotions as opposed to just looking. Her art practice is as essential to her as breathing. She has exhibited in Oslo, Manila, Barcelona, and Milan and has a future event in Paris.
