Diane Kazakis

"Captivated by the ebb and flow in nature, I create work that is in a state of flux by exploring mediums that have an altered appearance when viewed from different angles. My work depicts not only the beauty of the natural environment but also draws attention to its fragility and deterioration."

Wave ripples - Card, bronze leaf, wood 30 x 30 x 7 cm

Diane Kazakis is an award-winning Australian artist who has worked in the fields of art and art education in Australia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and now Asia. Drawing on her experiences from living in these diverse environments, her desire is to inspire an appreciation and concern for the fragile world around us.

Diane has exhibited extensively in solo and group shows, with work in public and private collections around the world.

Trained as a sculptor, Diane applies this background to produce a variety of art which is tactile and diverse. She uses a range of media, layers and overlapping segments to present depth and capture movement. Her work ranges in media and formats, dissolving the boundaries of traditional sculpture and painting.

Whilst studying Visual Arts at the University of Melbourne, she was the youngest artist to win the prestigious Andor Meszaros Sculpture Prize in 1994. In subsequent years, Diane has received other awards, including first prize in the 2001 acquisitive Moreland Sculpture Award for her sculptures depicting nature's decline.

Diane was commissioned for numerous large-scale projects such as an enormous robot sculpture for the Village Roadshow Cinema Complex in Melbourne, Australia and a large model earth for the Body Shop's International Environmental Conference in 2001.

In her role as Vice President of the Association of Sculptors of Victoria (2000-02), Diane coordinated events such as the sculpture exhibition at the International Flower & Garden Show in Melbourne and the Association's Annual Exhibitions.

In recent years, Diane has worked on private commissions, including a series of paintings installed at Sahab Hotel in Jabal Akhdar, Oman. This series of paintings is based on the fossils, natural vegetation and stunning views that this beautiful boutique hotel has to offer. In 2022 she installed a series of paintings in Healin' Spa, Suzhou, China which are based on natural elements to enhance the tranquil setting.

Massimiliano Pezzolini

“Io sono la mia arte.
L’ispirazione la trovo in quello che provo è in quello che mi piace, ma soprattutto nella natura.
I miei sentimenti e le mie emozioni, le traduco sulla carta, per questo dico che chi le porta con se si porta via una parte di me…”

"I am my art.
I find inspiration in what I feel and in what I like, but above all, in nature.
I translate my feelings and emotions on paper, which is why I say that those who carry them take a part of me away..."

Ganimede - Watercolor 35 x 50 cm

Massimiliano Pezzolini was born in Cremona in 1972 and influenced by his paternal grandfather, a painter and graphic artist, he has been passionate about the world of art and painting since childhood. After high school, Pezzolini graduated in Scenography at the Brera Academy. He painted architectural sketches and miniatures in collaboration with Mondadori for the monthly magazines Bell’Italia and Bell’Europa, and has drawn sketches for Jean Paul Gautier, Versace, Escada, and Lacroix. Massimiliano Pezzolini's works are done with a wide range of media and techniques, but the protagonist is undoubtedly watercolor.

V PAGES

"Using a mixed technique, I try to appeal to the imagination by creating almost tangible images of the world. A great painting is not genius with a paintbrush. It's years of concentrated effort. A journey without maps, with only a faint idea where you are heading."

N° 340 - Mixed technique 150x150 cm

"Trained as a copyist at the Louvre, I was imbued with the techniques of ancient painting. I then studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris and the School of Fine Arts in Basel. By drawing on this training, I found my way into abstract art and developed a mixed technique based on acrylics, using silk paper as an intangible shroud that blurs contours and increases depth. My artistic constructions convey the feeling of a resilient equilibrium as I treat material, geometric forms and translucent air as abstract collage elements.

A member of the Maison des Artistes, I have been helped in the process by supportive relationships, such as art collector Jacques Hachuel (Guggenheim Foundation, New York and Royal Academy, Madrid), who gave me confidence through their orders and encouragement.

I have worked with contemporary art galleries in Paris, such as Collection Privée (Île Saint Louis) and I-Gallery.Intelligence (Quai Voltaire). I presented my work in several group exhibitions, notably, the Salons d'Automne in France (2003), China and Israel (2012), the Agora Gallery in New York (2014), the MoiKa 104 and Hermitage-Vyborg in Saint-Petersburg (2021), as well as the Salon des Artistes Français (2017, 2018) where I was awarded the Paul Paté prize.

I currently work with Art Shaker Gallery in Saint-Tropez.”

Tong Zhou

"Just like a priest who has never seen god. I often tell my wife what I know about human things. I know the darkness of humanity, whether avarice or desire, happiness or sadness. I put them all into my production. I want to paint how I feel about the world. Use my consciousness to explain this world, although my consciousness may have some prejudice.”

Dandelions - Acrylic on cardboard 59 x 42 cm

Tong Zhou was born in Baotou, Inner Mongolia in 1969 and lives in Shenzen, China. Zhou studied at the Li Keran Art Academy and Youth Art Academy. In 2010, Zhou studied contemporary oil painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, and completed the research course. He has been engaged in design work in Shenzhen and in Berlin, Germany.

"My artistic inspiration comes from curiosity and awe of the world. I found resonance from Balthus and Lopez told me "how to get the inspired". Sometimes listening to the providence, they give to me a present, the present name called art."

CR Rousseau

"Color is my energetic exchange with the world. I work with color and light, following where the energy takes me; sometimes that's a vibrant abstract, other times it's an impressionistic landscape or something else entirely. My work isn't about canvas, paint, style nor technique, it's about the adventurous pursuit of expression, meaning, connection to environment, each other and ourselves."

Northern - Oil on canvas 48 x 36 in.

Often creating scenes of nature through the lens of a happy traveler, Caroline Rousseau brings forward a dreamlike path of play and discovery. Rousseau explores styles and challenges previous approaches with oils, acrylics, water color, ink, photography, print, as well as "the kitchen sink".

Informally referred to as the Eighth of "The Group of Seven" Rousseau was privileged to be thought of as an American cousin to such a distinctive style. Elegantly breaking away from traditional landscapes, Rousseau embraces a personalized sense of the natural world with twists of imbued color wrapped into abstract forms, like a memory of a dream.

Rousseau exhibits primarily in Seattle and Edmonds, Washington, as well as in Carmel-by-the-Sea, Santa Barbara and Sausalito, California. Her work can be found in private collections internationally.

Mary Chaplin

My secret garden - Acrylic on canvas 150 x 120 cm

Professional French artist, Mary Chaplin was born in Picardy, and now lives and works in Cany-Barville, Normandy. From a figurative beginning, an art form to which she remains faithful, Mary Chaplin has become a multidisciplinary artist who expresses herself in different fields all having a connection with light; the essence of her work.

She came to abstraction 17 years ago when she witnessed the "sacred light" in a chapel she was visiting; she was deeply touched and inspired by the beauty of the reflections coming through the stained glass windows, this abstract work she calls her "reflections", or in French, "meditations".

After this synchronistic experience, Mary's desire to transmit the ephemeral character of light was reinforced. Accordingly, her work on Nature was also transformed. The artist started a series called ‘Etats d’Ame Nature’ through which she expresses her deep love for the universe of the garden. The expression of colour and movement. Light is predominant for her to express the wind, the sun, the scents and essential life of the garden. Figurative representation is no longer essential for Mary Chaplin. Nevertheless, what is fundamental for her is that the work be a sensory immersion gateway, allowing the viewer to become spiritually in communication. May he feel the positive energy of an in-temporal summer garden bathed in light and be part of this timeless beauty. The garden is the artist's favorite place to live mindfulness meditation experiences. Experience that extends into the act of creating and that it transmits in the created work.

Mary Chaplin's work is represented by galleries throughout different countries, including France, Belgium, the USA and England.
