"I am a multi-cultural and polyglot artist, Passion for creating unique paintings drives my inspiration. I have an eclectic personal and professional background that does not fit into a conventional artist's bio, and that is what you see in my paintings: my sense of humor, and no conventional rules."

Narciso Romano II - Acrylic paint on acid free paper 17 x 14 in.

“Why do I create paintings? There are many forms to express art. This is my explanation of my deepest reason to have chosen the fine arts to express myself.

The thrill of selecting the right palette… the infinite combinations of colors, tones, values… I feel I am on top of the world because I can make whatever choice I want - unchained to opinion or judgements. I paint whatever I want - whether others like it or not.

The challenge is having my hand holding the brush and interpreting what my imagination is projecting into the void. This journey to me is as important as the final product.

The feeling that crawls from my hand holding the brush when it touches the surface I selected to paint and my mind enters the zone and trust what the hand does… and there we are… the medium, the surface and my imagination unleashed.

All my paintings have a story, a piece of my soul, a raison d’être. Feel free to engage with me via social media or email me if you want to learn more about my paintings and the passion that drives my creations.

I am a multi-cultural and polyglot artist, Passion for creating unique paintings drives my inspiration. I have an eclectic personal and professional background that does not fit into a conventional artist's bio, and that is what you see in my paintings: my sense of humor, and no conventional rules. I am a self-taught artist. I have learned long time ago to trust the teacher within and go to my inner world to fetch ideas for painting.

I have started a shoe portrait collection with the motto "If the shoe fits, paint it!"™

I love doing commissioned artwork... this gift of being able to interpret someone else's mind and image and turn it into art with my own flavor. Then, see the beautiful expression of the new owner of the painting... In essence, that painting has a piece of my soul.”
