Dawn Reed

"My inspiration comes from my daily activities and the environment around me, what I had to eat, a cocktail I enjoyed, a beautiful vase of flowers, or something that caught my eye while traveling. I look at the structure, shape and shadows in everyday life for my next still life."

That which comes early - Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas 12 x 16 in.

"I grew up in Calgary where I took Interior Design in my early 20s and many other art courses. I have always been able to draw since an early age.  I’ve had the opportunity to live in multiple cities throughout Canada and the world, Montreal, Hong Kong, Madrid, Windsor UK; just to name a few.

I spent the majority of my time working in Design in and around London, for 13 years then returned back to Canada in 2016. I am now living in Victoria and have been painting full-time ever since. Recently my work was published in International Artist Magazine “Master painters of the World” Seeing Shapes, February/March Issue 2022.”
