"I seek to create magical and spiritual imagery that draws the viewer into an ineffable sense of spiritual revelation. In my art, illustration, and portraiture I want to make you long for what you most loved about fairy tales and reflect on what your most magical and spiritual aspirations are."
"I received a BFA from New York Institute of Technology in 1982. After a hiatus of about 20 years in which I worked (and continue to work) in the field of medical publishing as a writer and editor, I began to create a portfolio again and showed from 2004 to 2006. I then went on hiatus to complete a trilogy of fantasy fiction and a nonfiction work on planetary magic. I began a new series of paintings and digital imagery, inspired by my interests in magic, myth, and mysticism, in 2015. I am currently exploring digital photo manipulation and spend my free time capturing images of people, places, and things to arrange into what I like to call digital collages."
Dee Rapposelli work has been featured at local venues in the Stamford, CT area, including the Gertrude F. Stein Gallery at the Greenwich YWCA, the Maritime Gallery in Norwalk, CT, Galeria de Artes Internacionais in Mamaroneck, NY (2004 to 2006), and a number of online exhibitions.
