"My sculptures investigate an inner world veiled in symbolic metaphors. I look for pure and essential forms aided by the intrinsic light of the natural material which varies from marble to stone of various colors and hardness. Art for me must speak to the soul through a simple and immediate message."
Italian sculptor, Elena Saracino was born in Udine, in 1976. She graduated from the Belle Arti Academy of Carrara in Italy in 2008 with a specialization in Sculpture. Since 2006, Saracino actively exhibits collectively as well as participates in sculpture competitions and symposiums in Italy and abroad. In 2014, she spent a month in Mexico, taking courses in marble techniques at the Museum of the City of Queretaro. Elena Saracino currently resides in Carrara where she continues her research in the field of outdoor sculpture and site-specific work.
