"As an artist and healer and one of the originators of art for healing concept, I create my unique "Healing Arts" integrating Fine Art and Healing. It is intuitively created, activated with energy, saturated with movement and passion. The mission of my HealingArts is to lift your Spirit, bring joy, happiness and well-being."
Born in Russia, Helen Kagan today lives in the USA, between Florida, Vermont and New York. She has a Ph.D. in Science and MSW, worked for over 20 years as a psychotherapist & healer. Helen grew up in a Communist State where oppression and control were a daily reality. In 1991 her quest for freedom led her to the US, whereto she brought her Jewish heritage, a couple of graduate degrees, and an unending thirst to explore the world and its meaning. Mainly a self-taught artist, Helen’s been painting for as long as she remembers and since 2005 she does it professionally. She works with oils and acrylics, lately experimenting with mixed media. If you are a seeker on a quest looking for some quintessential insight, or just wishing to feel better - you might find rewarding to meditate with Helen’s works. Her healing art is better experienced “in-person” due to live vibrations of bright colors, heavy textures, usually large size, and just an overall charisma and liveliness.
Dr. Kagan actively exhibits and has participated in many shows, including Art EXPO New York 2014-15-16-17-18 SPECTRUM Art Basel Miami 2014-15-16-17-18, Art San Diego 2014-15, Art Hamptons NY 2015, Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series, ART HOP VT2014-15-16-17-18, CONTINUUM & Art Synergy, Art Palm Beach 2015-16-17-18, RAW “Finalists and Director's Favorites (2013), City Hall of Hollywood FL “Art in Public Places” 3-months display (2009), and many others. Her Healing Arts won awards, was exhibited in New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, California, and many cities in Florida.
She's featured in many online galleries including Saatchi, Fine Art America, Art&Beyond, ArtsyShark, Art Galaxie, Contemporary Art Curator, and is on display in galleries in Florida, New York, and Vermont. Helen was named a "Collectible Artist” by Brickell and Key Biscayne Magazines (Dealer's Dozen 2016), Inspiration International ArtBook (2017-18), ArtTourInternational Magazine (ATIM 2018-19).
Helen Kagan believes in art as a powerful form of self-expression and a vehicle for emotional, physical, mental and spiritual well-being, that can enhance healing for those in need. She believes in the inter-connectedness of mind, body, and spirit; she believes her art can make a difference in people's lives; she envisions her art to be placed in medical centers, hospitals, libraries, crisis centers… – wherever it can enhance healing and promote well-being.
