“I discovered my love for painting in lockdown - just have a look at my page!”

Flowers - Acrylic on canvas 40 x 50 cm 420€

“I was born in Pernitz (Lower Austria) in 1961 and have lived in Vienna since 1980. Until Dec. 2018, I worked in the securities department of a bank and then accepted an offer from my company.

I started painting during lockdown in mid-November 2020, and I really enjoy it. I love bringing pictures to life with a brush and bringing landscapes, moods, animals and nudes onto canvas or cardboard.

I used to paint a few pictures, but since the birth of my daughter in 1992 I hardly had any time for it because I was also very busy professionally. During this time I had mainly devoted myself to my daughter and my career. I mainly paint with acrylic, but I am also open to other techniques and I like to experiment. Painting is a wonderful way for me to relax and since I no longer have a job, this brings a great balance to my life in addition to my sport.

I haven't committed myself to a specific style, because I would see that as more of a restriction - the style of my works usually ranges between impressionistic and photorealistic - sometimes also abstract.”
