"I’m inspired by light and shadows and what highlights everyday life as something worth noting."

What themes does your work involve?
It’s about highlighting the beautiful and special in everyday life.
Describe your creative process.
I get an idea when lights and shadows suddenly arouse my interest. I catch the moment by taking a photo and later it might eventually be the basis for a new painting.
What influences your work? What inspires you? Why do you make art?
I’m inspired by the everyday things that are around me. To see the simple and sometimes boring unimportant things as something attractive and beautiful. I want to make people "sit still for a moment" and see the beautiful and important in our lives.
What is good art? What makes a piece of art great?
When people are touched in some way.
What is the role of the artist today?
I want to convey something that I am inspired by. Man is in such a hurry today so we miss everyday minor things around us. But since life consists mostly of small insignificant things I want to clarify the beautiful in the everyday life.
