Chinese artist Jiqun Chen was born in 1947. He attended the Affiliated Middle School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts from 1963 to 1967. Following that, he ventured to Mandu Baolige, East Ujumchin Banner, Inner Mongolia, before returning to Beijing in 1980. During the 1980s, he established himself as a professional painter.
