All You Need Is Love - Lipstick sculptures

"The use of lipsticks as an art subject is to emphasize that any simple thing around us can become an art subject. As long as the subject of the artwork and the soul of the artist are connected, everything can become an artwork with a soul ."

What themes does your work involve?
My work is always about love, cats and my society.
Describe your creative process.
My works always come in series. I usually think of a series of ideas and make them out. Usually, it will be 5-20 pieces for one collection. Each collection has a theme. All the creative processes need around 2-4 months.
What influences your work? What inspires you? Why do you make art?
I love Vivienne Westwood, I remember she said she wanted to be an artist forever, I admire her work so much! And even though she is getting old now, her work is still full of passion and impact. So I hope I can keep being an artist until I couldn't anymore. I hope my love of art will never stop, like her.
What is good art? What makes a piece of art great?
For me, good art makes the artist feel good and can tell a good story, and have a soul but not something just copied from "pop culture"..
What is the role of the artist today?
Tell the truth!
