Born in Menton in 1952 (Alpes-Maritimes, France), Jean-Marie Bidet is a self-taught artist who lives and works in Switzerland. His workshop is located in Chambrelien, Canton of Neuchâtel in Switzerland, and as a self-taught artist, he has been expressing himself through painting, engraving, sculptures, and stained glass creations since 1984.
After working on the theme of writing for several years, J-M Bidet has returned to a more meditative and introspective approach in his recent work, particularly in a more landscape style that is open to the world of nature. Themes of the wind, solitude, reverie, and poetry resurface in his new works.
He was awarded a silver medal in the Mixed Media category at the XII Biennale in Florence in October 2019, and his website has been archived at the Swiss National Library.
