“Beauty will save the world.” - F. Dostoyevsky
"I am a mid-career artist, painting full-time. I can not imagine my existence without constantly creating and sharing beauty and hope through art."

Secret Garden 8 - Acrylic 76 x 60 in.

“Some 30 years ago, I left the former USSR with one suitcase in search of new possibilities and came to Toronto, Canada. I can not even point out the particular reason for this move. It could be as serious as a nuclear disaster in Chornobyl or simply a curiosity and longing for a different life. All is a matter of that decision having been made.

I left a successful fashion designer position at Fashion Centre and got my first job in Toronto at the coat check in the local theatre. Thus my life was changed forever.

Today art and my life are intertwined. My desire to learn how to live in the moment, how to be truly present, and search for awareness is a lifelong quest that I cherish. It is a state of consciousness when I feel appreciation and humbleness, and interconnectedness with the universe that I strive to express in the process of the evolution of my art.”
