"I create my artwork to communicate feelings and ideas that cannot easily be expressed in words. Dreams, emotions, and memories are often considered abstract and lacking in comprehension. Abstract painting gives me the opportunity to create an emotional and physical artwork that someone else can repeatedly enjoy.
As I explore the use of light and shade through color and movement, I recognize that the control we all want to exert in our lives is often paired with uncontrollable growth and change. Much of my artwork is painted in reverse on glass (BEYOND) and others are on synthetic paper (EMERGING). Most often I use alcohol inks because they can be deep or transparent, perhaps an apt description of my artwork.”
