"I love the creative process as it unfolds through me onto the canvas. Colors, movement - it's my personal dance with the Cosmos. It's the Divine expressing through this form."
Abstract Expressionism “Inspirational Art” — “The Blissful Artist”
When Laura attended grade school, she won a blue ribbon for a crayon drawing for color balancing, and to this day she still loves exploring and harmonizing colors. After she was diagnosed with and treated for cancer, she re-evaluated her life and decided to share her creative talents with the world. Laura Goldman Weinberg has won first, second, and third place ribbons in her regional Iowa Artists Shows, as well as an Illinois Gallery Pick Award. Her art has been accepted at various galleries for exhibition and ongoing viewing. She currently favors acrylic paint on either primed or unprimed canvas. Laura feels such a connection with her inner self when she paints and allows the creative energy of life to dance through her onto the canvas. She sees a blank canvas as a field of all possibilities and is filled with excitement and enthusiasm to witness the journey of the creative impulse. Laura’s wonder and joy of life radiate through the process and final manifestation of her works. Colorful, bright, happy, creative, energetic, fun, expressive are some of the words that describe her abstract-expressionist style. She continues to create art in various forms with the hope of inspiring and uplifting others.
