Leila Holberg

“Fascinated by colors and their interaction, flowers are my favorite motifs. I admire their beauty and softness. They are delicate, poetic, light and floating. I want the viewer to get joy and beauty. Women and dancers in beautiful dresses remind me of wonderful flowers as well.”

Rose 10 - Oil on linen 52 x 38 cm

“I always loved colors and wanted to paint. As a teacher, I helped children to use their creativity. Since 2010 I have been painting seriously and a lot! I have participated in several courses, but mostly I am self-taught. I enjoy very much the creation of a painting and seek to get the colors right. In the process, I forget myself.

For the last 12 years, my paintings have been shown in various juried exhibitions in Denmark and Germany. Besides my oil on linen works, I also make watercolors with saturated color, not only delicate hues. I find the contrasts interesting. The sizes are from 30 x 40 cm up to 60 x 80 cm. They come with passepartout and glass frames.”
