Loretta Ribaudo Carter

"My style is best described as naive, figurative, abstract, cubist and contemporary. My desire to paint comes from my emotions, which are forever changing. I am driven to transpose this onto canvas or paper. Expressing myself with shapes, forms, colours and most of all, my inner feelings."

Fly & Be Free - Acrylic on canvas 69.5 x 50 x 3.5 cm

"I was born in Perth, Australia and lived in Rome, Italy in the 90's for 7 years. This wonderful experience stimulated my artistic passion immensely. I returned to Australia in 2000, where I began a new journey in my life. I worked as an interior decorator/adviser for many years, doing floral arrangments, furniture and homeware displays. I had six solo exhibitions and participated in many group ones.  My husband and I moved to Italy in 2018, Maremma, Southern Tuscany. In November 2019 we moved to Lake Como, Italy, where I decided to immerse myself completely as an artist. Finally, my time had come to enjoy and discover my passion even further."
