Maria Aparici

"The most challenging part of my creative process right now is to achieve the innocence of a child; drawing, ignoring the evil acquired in an adult’s life. I am trying to simplify, and as Engels said: “Any increase in quantity decreases quality"."

El Lazo Rojo - Oil on paper on wood 120 x 105 cm

Spanish artist, based in Madrid, Aparici has been distinguished with numerous prizes, such as Premio Scienza del Museo d’Arte e Scienza of Milan (2015) and recently, in 2019 and 2020, with the Michelangelo, Botticelli and Frida Kahlo Prizes in Italy where she has been invited to participate, in 2021, in the next Florence Biennale. She was named “Artist of the Year” by the Palm Art Award.

Aparici’s work can be found in corporate and private collections, such as Germany’s Daimler Collection, Mercedes Benz, Investcorp of Bahrein and Cushman & Wakefield in Madrid.
