"I am passionate about the changing colors of the seasons. My photographs reflect the contemplation and appreciation of the landscapes of our environment. The capture of each moment becomes the testimony of my vision of the world in which we live."
"Prolific, Rene Richard is undoubtedly one of the Canadian painters (he was also a photographer ...) who best expressed the Nordicity, the solitude and the primitive life of the great territorial spaces marked out by the seasons. Being my great-uncle, I became aware of his influence on my photography through my various works expressing the diversity of Quebec landscapes. Passionate about the changing colors of the seasons, my photographs are a reflection of the contemplation and appreciation of the landscapes of our world. The capture of each moment becomes the testimony of my vision on the world in which we evolve.
In this perspective, my photographic works radiate as much in Canada as on other continents. The many international exhibitions in which I participate testify and contribute to my fame as an artist-photographer.
I chose as my subject the richness and diversity of Quebec's panoramas. They say of me, "a great poetry emerges from each of his clichés". They are the expression of the emotion I feel as I travel through these landscapes. My eye captures a moment, the light, a color, and each photograph presents my vision of the world: a peaceful, calm, happy and simple world."
