Born in 1957 in Charlevoix County in Quebec, I demonstrated from a young age an innate talent for the arts.
Driven by my creativity, I began studies in visual arts at CEGEP before continuing in graphic communication at Laval University in Quebec. After obtaining my degree in 1980, I worked in my field for a decade before moving to Chile in 1990. It was there that I gradually fused painting and graphic art.
My efforts in the artistic field quickly bore fruit, allowing me to realize several exhibitions and be selected in various competitions. Chilean art critics hailed my artistic maturity, describing me as an expressive and lyrical draftsman, with a penchant for new art.
After five years in Chile, I returned to Quebec, enriched by a new experience and a new impetus that energized my artistic career. I exhibited my new works in Quebec, Toronto, and the United States, before adding Europe to my list of exhibition venues.
My artistic journey led me to develop a more personal style with the technique of acrylic spatula, merging an intuitive expression with abstract backgrounds, alternating between figuration and abstraction. I also continued the exploration of collage and other original associations.
Throughout my life, I have placed great importance on reflection and self-examination in order to probe human nature. These deep themes have formed the backbone of my artistic approach, as evidenced by the predominance of the human figure in my creations. I also aspire to celebrate life through my art, using bright and intense colors, and dealing with themes that evoke joy and life.
In search of renewal, I ventured into digital art in 2014, thus diving into a universe of innovation and experimentation. It is with unparalleled passion that I continue this artistic adventure begun over 50 years ago. Through my art, I share a profound emotional story, reflecting my experience and my vision of the world, while leaving behind a rich and inspiring artistic legacy.
