"My work is inspired by my surroundings. I am a designer and artist and feel that my art is influenced by my designs."
Rania Abulhasan is a contemporary Kuwaiti artist. Her artwork is strongly influenced by her experience with fashion and product design: she emphasizes life and movement, using shapes and vibrant colors to express her ideas and communicate her message.
Professionally working in Art and Design since 1998, Rania finds that her passion for her work and for sharing her love of beauty continues to grow. Rania holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from The New School at Parsons School of Art and Design. She started her university education at Parsons in Paris and then moved to New York to complete her degree. Rania majored in Fashion Design, while continuing to explore her passion for Fine Art: she attended a fine arts program at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and minored in Product Design at Parsons. Throughout her studies, Rania worked with many influential artists and designers in New York, Paris and Milan.
