“I strive to create a personal iconography drawn from life experiences, dreams and inchoate emotions. To achieve this, I use simplified forms and bold color to heighten the emotional context of the paintings. Painting in both oil and acrylic, I hope to establish a common ground with the viewer.”
"I studied painting and figurative drawing in New York City, at The Art Students League and at Spring Studio in Soho. I also participated in advanced painting workshops in New York City, at The National Academy Museum School of Fine Arts and at The School of Visual Arts. In 2016, I joined Atlantic Gallery in New York City, located in the Chelsea art district. In October 2017, I completed a one-man show of recent paintings. I have exhibited in numerous other galleries, both in New York and Massachusetts. My work is held in private collections throughout the US. Prior to establishing my career as an artist, I engaged in the practice of Law and held the position of Deputy Solicitor General of The State of NY."
