Sarah E Edge

"I have always loved nature and being outside in the beauty of a flower garden or a sunset by the lake. I really try to capture that in my artwork. Working in oil, watercolor, acrylic, colored pencil, or ink pen, I love having a diversity of mediums to work with on canvas or paper."

Relic - Oil on canvas 12 x 24 in. $2,500

Surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains and the pristine beauty of Glacier National Park, a young artist's love for art took root in the picturesque town of Kalispell, Montana. Raised in this breathtaking landscape, she was immersed in an environment that nurtured her artistic spirit from an early age. Her father, a seasoned oil and watercolor landscape painter, served as her inspiration and catalyst for her own artistic journey.

While her love for art blossomed, the young artist initially chose a different path in her early adulthood. Though she dabbled in drawing and painting, her dreams of becoming a professional golfer captured her imagination. Life took her to Palm Desert, California, in her early twenties, where fate intervened, introducing her to her future husband and golf coach. Their love blossomed, and they soon embarked on a journey together, exchanging vows when she was just 24 years old. Shortly after, their first daughter arrived, prompting a decision to relocate to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where her husband's family resided. It was in 2008 that she found herself in this new city, far from the mountains she once called home.

As her husband pursued a law degree at the esteemed TU, she dedicated herself to the role of a devoted stay-at-home mother, caring for their two precious daughters. The artist within her remained dormant for over a decade, but fate had a way of rekindling the creative spark.

When the pandemic swept across the globe, altering lives and shifting priorities, she found herself at a crossroads. The quiet whispers of her artistic inclinations grew louder, prompting her to pick up her pencils and paintbrushes once more. And so, she began to paint again, with flowers serving as her muse. Each intricate stroke revealed a profound attention to detail, captivating the hearts of those who encountered her work. Positive comments flooded her social media channels, and her father's encouraging reviews fortified her confidence.

Armed with newfound courage, she seized the opportunity to share her talent with the world, launching her art business in the summer of 2021. Her paintings, vibrant and filled with life, captured the essence of nature's most delicate creations. Through her art, she embarked on a journey of self-expression, intertwining her love for the natural world with her unique artistic vision.

With each stroke of her brush, she rediscovered the joy that art brought to her life. Her journey exemplifies the resilience and transformative power of passion, reminding us all that sometimes, the path less taken can lead to the most extraordinary destinations.

As she continues to navigate the ever-changing landscape of art, this artist's journey serves as an inspiration to others. Through her story, we are reminded of the inherent beauty of rediscovery and the profound impact art can have on our lives.
