Sergio Rapetti was born in 1944 in Acqui Terme (AL) where her lives today. He is a self-taught artist who began painting in 1984. His works investigate the space between the figurative and impressionistic abstraction. Since the 1990s, he has been focusing more on wood sculpture as well as poetry. Rapetti's wood sculptures are carved from a single piece of wood and can be made in bronze or marble.

His works have a great philosophical meaning and the artist has participated in numerous shows and received notable awards in Italy and abroad.
