"My work has always addressed "the big picture," that is, the nature of the universe and the intelligence(s) that inhabit it. It is an attempt to explore the possibilities that our universe presents. I have done this by a variety of means, most recently by slinging very small quantities of paint."

"I grew up in the Deep South of the U.S. and moved further west, until right after college, when I moved to Portland, OR. I have lived here since 1976 and have been an actively producing painter since 1974. I taught Basic Design, Drawing, and Painting at Mt Hood Community College for over twenty-five years and Painting and Drawing in the Continuing Education Program of the Pacific Northwest College of Art for over twenty years."
