Amazilia Photography, which is owned and operated by British photographer Paul, is named after a species of hummingbird native to Peru and Ecuador. The name was chosen because Paul finds hummingbirds to be one of the most beautiful and inspiring natural wonders of the world. Such radiance, strength, and beauty are also seen in women; a subject that has fascinated artists in every discipline over millennia.

Paul focuses his work in three core areas of people photography – fine art nudes, sensual nudes and nudes in nature. His principal focus has developed into nudes in the natural environment, where Paul is always trying to depict a sense of the deep-rooted, intrinsic connection between people and the natural world.

He is an internationally published photographer with several print publications, who has recently won the Runner- Up Photographer of the Year position with an international magazine, as well as achieving success in three global fine art photographic competitions. He holds Distinctions in both Foundation and Advanced Photography Diplomas, and in October 2019 he exhibited a series of four intimate low-key bodyscape images in London.

Paul has published three fine art nude volumes in a series entitled “Naturally Nude”. Each book contains around 100 photos, as well as an introductory narrative. Two of the books focus on nudes in nature, while the third covers bodyscapes shot indoors.

Aside from his interests in people photography, Paul enjoys being in nature. This includes walking, swimming, and simply watching the myriad of endlessly varied and fascinating wildlife and landscapes; both close to his home in Britain, and across the globe. He is married with two grown-up children.
