"A simple mark may radically transform a drawing."
"I make drawings on prepared printmaking paper, combining my fascination with animals and with the male figure in various series. Rather than create an idealized perfection I look for the extraordinary beauty in ordinary people. As well as exploring the effects of various surfaces I’ve created on the paper, these subjects are a conduit for exploring many different kinds of marks, and how simple variation in a line or a tiny stroke transforms an image."
