Patricia Van Den Nieuwenhuijzen (Manzitti)

"I have been painting since I was 18 months old. I am a self-taught artist who is deeply in love with all that God has created, that which is tangible and that which I see through the eyes of inspiration. I also teach Mathematics and Statistics at University. Despite mathematics, art is my true love.”

Flower Garden - Oil on linen 91 x 91 x 3.8 cm

Patricia Manzitti was born and raised in Australia to Italian parents. A self-taught artist, over the years she has developed her artistic skills through a variety of mediums, including acrylics, pastels, oil, and charcoal but she prefers oil.

Her use of color gives life to her works as also a spirit of joy and love. Patricia has a particular and innate predisposition to tonal composure and overall vision. Her works allow a glimpse into her exclusive style that is original and valid in the artistic world.

Patricia paints to tell her relationship with nature and the world that inspires her, and a source of pleasant enchantment for the soul and source of infinite sensitivity. Through every one of her paintings there is never a complete detachment from reality; instead, she successfully bridges that which is transcendent and surreal with that which is real. In short, an integration of vision that touches the soul.

Over the past years Patricia has earned the respect and recognition by the Art world expressed by the wards she has so far received:

Natalia Rose

“Russian-born and Denmark-based artist, Natalia Rose challenges the conventional separation between the realm of memory and the realm of experience. Exploring dimensionality through layers of color, her compositions radiate power and command attention to the magnificence of the world.”

Between Black and White, 2018 - Acrylic on linen 100 x 100 x 4 cm

Natalia Rose challenges the conventional separation between the realm of memory and the realm of experience. Exploring dimensionality through layers of color, her compositions radiate power and command attention as her paintings navigate themes of identity, exoticism and culture and the idea of the stranger.

“My paintings do not depict things which I actually observe, but rather what I recall from the past, and more accurately, what I wish to see."

Drawing from historical and cultural imagery, Ms. Rose weaves a map of identity that intermingles Eastern and Western ideals of beauty, as well as mythologies. Ms. Rose's primary interest is in pictorial phenomena: the illusion of a three-dimensional space, composition, and the optical effects of color. Believing that color stimulates a conversation between tone and texture, between motion and shape, Ms. Rose's rainbow-hued palette dances on the canvas as she transcribes life's events through hue, shape, and motion. Passionate color and vibrant texture are parlayed into chimeric, non-figurative compositions which metamorphose into a visual dialogue of dazzling color and line.  Brilliant and emotive, Ms. Rose translates onto the canvas with a syncopated beat the magnificence of our world.
