"My art, whether photography or painting, aims to establish an emotional connection. Over the years as I mature so does my art and my vision. When I take photographs of subjects I don't only see a person, I see a way to express feeling. I interact with my subjects on a very personal level."
Born in Russia in 1979, Igor Zusev emigrated to the USA with his family in 1989. His artistic photographic expression began early when at the age of 8 he received a point-and-shoot camera as a gift. A US Navy veteran, Igor was his ship's official photographer where his would record military life as he experienced it. He has since continued to document a variety of subjects and in the last few years, Igor has incorporated mixed media painting into his creative repertoire. His works are presented in several galleries and publications.
