Tine Mynster

“Acrylic on canvas, layer by layer, and always intense and colorful.”

Most of All is Love, 2020 - Acrylic on canvas 150 x 100 cm

“My artworks are colorful and abstract; I prefer to paint in large sizes and I'm using the “layer on layer” method. I work with colors and try to find the perfect shade so the artwork finds its own place. I never know when that will happen, but suddenly it comes together and is done. Painting for me is like a dance or a piece of music; you can think and work as hard as you can, but it always goes it's own way. All my paintings are unique and it's not possible for me to recreate them.”

Tine Mynster was born in 1968 in Denmark and lives on the small island of Alrø, with her husband and her youngest son.

“I have been painting ever since I was a little girl, and also singing for as far as I can remember. I'm also a singer-songwriter and have toured for many years in Denmark.  I have released a lot of music for children. In 2015 I released "Hjerteland"/"Heartland", songs for the grown-up audience. I have always been writing songs in Danish,  in a direct and clear language. My songs are the opposite of my abstract artwork."
