Russian artist, Valeria Koshkina was born in 1961 in Moscow and graduated from the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts (1984) and Industry. She has lived in Prague since 1992, where she specialises in cabinet sculpting, medal-making, patchwork, and felting. Valeria is a member of both the Czech Association of Art Medalists AUM (since 1994) and the International Art Medal Federation (FIDEM - Fédération Internationale de la Médailles d'Art). Valeria as a designer of figural and decorative porcelain cooperates with several well-known Czech manufacturers as a designer of figural and decorative porcelain; Rudolf Kampf, Royal Dux Bohemia and Haas and Czjzek are among them. Valeria Koshkina is married and she is the mother of two children – a son and a daughter.
