Valerie Ghoussaini is a professional artist who specializes in painting. Ghoussaini taught Art and Art History from 1980 to 1995 in the public and private sectors of the Detroit, MI school districts. Between 2003 and 2019 she worked privately with galleries and on commission. Between 2008 and 2019 she hosted and curated pop-ip galleries in both the USA and Europe, featuring both her own work and other artists.
She has exhibited in the 2015 and 2017 Venice Biennale, the latter show included a performance and audience interactive participation. Between 2015-2019 her clothing line appeared on shopvida.com and in 2016-2018 she did public art. Her sculpted turtle resides in the Naples, Florida zoo as part of the permanent collection and one of her beach paintings is part of the city art in Pompano Beach, Florida. In 2019-2020 she participated in THIRD ON CANVAS, Naples, FL, ARTBOX PROJECT, Spain and Switzerland, Reece Museum Art Show, Reece, TN. Shockboxx Gallery Show, Hermosa, CA.
