"Inspired by what lies beneath the surface, I experiment with mixed media to unravel hidden layers, creating an illusion of depth. Layering and texturing is a key theme in my work, exposing the intricacy of the natural world and in ourselves."
Canadian painter, Vicky Talwar holds a BFA from Ontario College of Art and Design and BEd from York University, Toronto Canada. Her paintings have been exhibited in Canada, USA, and India, with recent exhibitions at The Elaine Fleck Gallery in Toronto, Canada, Las Laguna Gallery, Linus Gallery, REN Gallery in Los Angeles and Caelum Gallery in New York City.
“Dancing flowers build up intricate patterns poised over deeply worked, textural backgrounds to give the viewer harmoniously balanced canvases worth hours of gazing. A great sensitivity for color and attention to detail are characteristic elements in Talwar’s work.” - Myrina Tunberg Georgiou (Circle Foundation Curator)
