Through our contest, we will offer one artist the opportunity to exhibit one, two, three or four works for free, within the Artavita - World Wide Art Pavilion (Booth 107) at Artexpo New York (April 4-7, 2024, Pier 36, New York City)

About this Contest

Contest Participation Fee: 20€ per image entry

50 Contest Finalists will receive 20% discount if they wish to show at the Pavilion.

Accepted Media: Painting, sculpture, photography, digital media, 2D art, 3D art, new media, mixed media, printmaking, drawing, illustration, performance, collage, fiber art, video art etc.

Image Size: The total of your submitted images must be under 25MB or the form will not go through. The images will be used only for the purposes of this contest.

Questions about the Show

Do I need to come to the show? No, it is not necessary to come to the show. We will professionally display and represent your art. Of course, being at the show increases your chances of selling and is a great opportunity to network. 

How is this show promoted? As listed on the art fair website, the show gets a lot of press and indicatively they list coverage from sources including New York Times, Art Fair Magazine, Art Market Magazine, Artweek, Art World News, Average Socialite, DC Metro Theater Arts, Design and Style Report, ESPR Press Coverage, Hyperallergic, Haven Magazine, Luxury International Magazine, News India Times, Widewalls, One Art Nation, Artforbes, Art World News, Artsy, Art Rabbit, Inquirer USA today and many more. 

Is there a size limitation? No, there is no size limit. But do consider that going too large might increase the shipping cost.

Ready to hang The winning artist must ship their works ready to hang. Sculptures must include all necessary installation elements. Pedestals are available for rent at the venue.

Why should I care about this show? Organized by the Redwood Media Group, this is one of the largest art fairs in the world.  New York City is the place for the active artist to be. It is where the world’s largest galleries make the most sales. Exhibiting at Artexpo is not only a great addition to your resume but a real chance to network. The show also includes workshops, lectures, labs and other exciting events.

Questions about the Contest

What payments do you accept?  PayPal or Card.

How much is 20 Euro in USD? 20€ is about $21. (Please google Euro to Dollar conversion for exact rate)

Can you advise me which images to add to this contest? No, we cannot advise you which images to add to this contest as it would be unfair to other participants.

How many images can I add to this contest? You can add up to 10 images.

Why should I participate in this contest? This contest can win you free participation in an exhibition that otherwise costs many thousands of dollars to participate. Also, 50 finalists will receive a Finalist Certificate and a 20% discount off the normal price to physically exhibit in the WWA&Artavita Booth.  Please note that the discount offer will not be valid for digital display or catalog only. 

What if I don't win the contest? 50 artists will be named Contest Finalists and will receive a named + signed Certificate as well as a discount to exhibit with us at the show. Please note that the discount offer will not be valid for digital display or catalog only. 

Commissions and New York Sales Tax. The booth receives 15% commission on any sold artwork at the exhibit. The artist must keep in mind when pricing the artwork that the NYC Sales Tax is 4% . 

If I win this contest is there another cost to exhibit? There is NO other cost to exhibit. We offer 200€ cash for shipping costs but if the shipping costs more then the remaining amount is the artist's responsibility. 


What we offer: We offer artists the possibility to exhibit within the Artavita - World Wide Art Pavillion at the Artexpo New York art fair. Artists who do not wish to ship their work to the show can also choose to display their images in an HQ video which will be mounted on our booth wall and will loop throughout the entire duration of the show. This is a great opportunity for artists who are far away from New York but still don't want to miss the chance to participate in this event. Please note that the discount offer reserved for Contest Finalists will not be valid for digital display or catalog but physically exhibiting at the show.
