Rainer K. Lampinen was born in 1947 in Finland and is a self-taught photographer, studying since 1952 the 6x9 cm box camera. Lampinen has a commercial education and during his military service (1965-6) he did 16mm high-speed movies. In 1973, the photographer graduated from Aalto University in Speciality panoramic photography and photojournalism with an ultra-wide w Leica RF camera, working both in film and digital. Rainer is a visiting lecturer at universities and art academies internationally and the only Finnish photographer to have been invited in "Circle of 24 Creative Photographers". He is a member of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) asmp.org and a professional independent photographer FRPS, MPA (Stock and Assignment photography).
